Sugar Lift Etchings

Etchings were invented precisely for the same reason I set up my art factory and shop; for art to reach a wider more affordable audience. These sugar lift etchings are painted directly onto a copper plate and go through the traditional process that enables us to print each image on pure cotton paper in limited editions and in some cases hand colour them. The technique allows me to make marks that are spontaneous like my brush strokes on canvas. I like to achieve an etching that looks like an original painting.
