The Kensington Gatehouse
Pembroke Gardens, Greater London, United Kingdom
1 Bedroom | 2 Bathrooms | 3 Guests
Fabulously eccentric, and colourful. Each room is as uniquely designed mixing various styles, colours and patterns across its interesting layout inspired by art, history and design. On the ground level, you’ll find a kitchen, and then stairs lead up to a funky sitting room with desks ideal for remote workers, and area for a third bed closed off by a pull curtain and a bathroom and shower for guests. Down the stairs on the other side you’ll find an impressive bedroom with 4 poster bed, and en suite bathroom. As for the location, you can’t beat it. The shops and eateries on Kensington Hight street and the underground of Kensington Station are a short stroll away on foot.
Birdhouse
Plettenberg Bay, South Africa
9 guests | 5 bedrooms | 6 beds | 4 baths
There’s one thing that certain about holiday houses in South Africa. They have no need to ape the European villa or English country house. We have more than enough diversity and interest of our own right here to be able to conjure up a style well suited to what we do better than anybody else: barefoot living where casual simplicity has been elevated to an art form. Nowhere is this more evident than in beach house design and style, particularly by the sea at Plettenberg Bay on the Garden Route.

The Rafters
Kalk Bay, Cape Town, South Africa
8 guests | 4 bedroom | 3 bath
Who isn’t over those pretentiously minimalist, pale-palated Southern Peninsula villas where it’s de rigueur to eat only white food and where parents are advised to roll their children in cling-wrap and seal both ends?
Welcome to the casual cool of a holiday house where wooden floors welcome sandy feet. Because this beach house is well-known South African artist Beezy Bailey’s holiday home and the relaxed atmosphere is testament to the family’s love of the place.
